It is tax season again. However, taxes in 2014 may bring on many new questions for those divorced in 2013. There are things to remember such as alimony is taxable to the recipient and a divorce decree is not sufficient for proving who takes a dedication for a dependent. Also, remember do not count on your ex for filing your taxes this year, if you where divorced on December 31 2013, you could be filing your taxes as single. It is always best to ask for help from an accountant if this is your first time filing.
