With an increasingly mobile society, a decision like this one from New Jersey will likely have a great impact on many parents. In a precedential ruling by Superior Court Judge Sohail Mohammed, held that because the child and both parents do not live in New Jersey, the state lacked jurisdiction under the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act. In this case former NY Giants player and the mother of his child no longer resided in New Jersey. Therefore New Jersey Superior Court no longer could modify temporary support agreement.
