Losing My Religion ...or Not?
I spent 13 years in Catholic School. While the education was great, some of the philosophies I had trouble wrapping my head around. One of those philosophies is the stance on the Big "D", not Dallas, but Divorce. For Catholic, marriage is literally forever and the only way out is with an annulment. Annulments are tremendously difficult to attain. Without an annulment, you are basically forced to give up major aspects of the religion. In this day in age it just does not make sense. Thanks to the new Pope's more realistic view on things, divorced Catholics or those married to divorced spouses may be able to once again be able to enjoy all aspects of the religion.
